All help no matter how small would be appreciated.
The latest in our ongoing meetings with the agencies took place as planned. All of the agencies involved with the exception of United Utilities were represented. We were updated on a number of initiatives currently underway in the valley including local river dredging and a number of reviews including ” Lancashire Flood Risk Strategy”,and a ” Section 19 Review of the flooding on 26 December” both of these reviews are scheduled to complete later this year. Both of these, and other similar initiatives are hoped to go toward developing a strategy for flood prevention in the valley.
Discussion also took place on the number of drains that are blocked in the town rendering them incapable of taking water, Lancashire County Council have since been sent details of those drains affected, and we await feedback.
The meeting also reported back on the recent RFF meeting with our local MP Jake Berry, who continues to take interest in developments.
