Rawtenstall Flood Fayre – June 29th – St Mary’s Chambers 2pm-8pm

Arrangements are underway for Rawtenstalls first flood Fayre .  This will be a free to enter event which is aimed at local residents and businesses to get advice and guidance on flood prevention,insurance and grants to help protect your property from the threat of flood.
Rawtenstall Flood Forum are co hosting the event with Sagar Insurance, a local company specialising in flood insurance.
We are expecting to have representatives from Lancashire County Council,Rossendale Council, National Flood Forum, The Environmental Agency, United Utilities and a number of other organisations who will be able to bring you up to speed with what plans are in the pipeline for the valley to prevent future flood issues, together with possible grants that you might be entitled to.  Also in attendance will be industry experts to give you advice on how you can introduce physical barriers to your property aimed at preventing flood water entering your home or business.
We shall update the website with a full list of organisations who will be attending a little closer to the date of the event.
This is a free to enter event, refreshments will be available and we look forward to seeing you there.
